No sound (4.0, 64 bit, .dat savefile)

I've installed Porteus on a USB stick (formatted with fat32) and I made it persistent by creating a .dat savefile (some users helped me fix some issues on this thread: .dat persistent savefile running very slow). However, for some reason the persistent system is displaying no sound -- I've tried both my usual earphones and USB audio devices. I've also tried plugging the earphones to a smartphone and they work fine there. I could hear sound when using the "fresh" system, but for some reason it is gone now.

If it works in "fresh" and not now, some change you made or module you added is the cause. Start "fresh", check sound, manually activate a module, check sound, activate another module and check sound, etc.
