Generation of PCID

1. Where does the pcid come from and if its an algorithm based on the MAC address, can you provide it?
2. Is there a way to set the PCID for a device?
3. Is there a file on the kiosk or the server that contains what PCID is associated to what MAC?
4. Is there a command we can run on a system running Windows to determine what the PCID would be in Porteus?

Hello p1t,

1) Please contact [email protected] with this query
2) There is not
3) There is not. You can only find which PCID is associated to which kiosk, this info is in the /etc/version file.
4) Should be possible in certain hardware configuration (rules are complicated) - please contact [email protected] for more info.
