linux-apps and portable apps: alternatives to modules
linux-apps is a source of linux packages that are easy to install. They come into rpm or deb packages that you can download and convert with rpm2xzm or deb2xzm. If they do not start from your desktop menu, invoking the package will permit to find and install the missing library with usm. An idea inspired recently by kulle, but also from brokenman years ago with portable apps.

Re: linux-apps and portable apps: alternatives to modules
portableapps.com is all Windows apps, with no desire to create Linux apps. I'm sure they would run in Wine but that's a big requirement.

linux-apps and portable apps: alternatives to modules
Hi Francois,
I have created click-radio_0.2.6_amd64.xzm (Download from linux-apps.com)
and yad-0.40.0-x86_64-1_slonly.xzm (via usm)
and both activated.
Run in terminal:
setup created and killed !!!
Why killed?

Hi ncmprhnsbl,
the menu is there,
but if I click on oldies: nothing.
when I click Country: nothing, no sound.
What else can I do?

that is the nature of internet radio stations > some urls work sometimes..
to fix : set the stations to urls that work, either via the gui : add 'url' button or editing the ~/.click-radio/stations file directly
finding urls that work is the tricky part ..
eg. here : https://www.radionomy.com/en/radio/calm ... pler/index
gives this url: http://streams.calmradio.com/api/511/128/stream/; that works (for me)
EDIT: check out odio https://www.linux-apps.com/p/1282377/
the appimage works, it might be useful for finding working stations..
