[Solved] NEED HELP!!!

Jan do you know what the Command Prompt window looks like in Windows? Well the Terminal window in Linux is similar. Look for a menu item with that name, click it, and in the window with the black background enter the lspci command shown you earlier. Highlight it's results and copy them to a posting. Ideally put code tags around it.

terminal says lspci -knn | grep Net -A3; rfkill list command not found--------------and Rajas /lib/modules/4.xx-porteus/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/realtek/ says Directory don t exist so what to do now? Sure i am a complete idiot with 25 years of computing experience and i am unable to write my Name but nobody here could explain properly what to do.....Additional packages will be needed:
05-devel.xzm and git

Great i got a Realtek RTL8192 Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter
so tell me where to find Kernel driver and modules and how to install them from a usb stick

Jan knowing what network drive you have is helpful but knowing what drivers your system is using is needed.

The error you got using the lspci command is because you didn't do like Jack showed. Before entering the lspci command you need to enter the su command then respond with the root password, which is toor, then enter the lspci command.

I suspect you are connecting to your network. And it's not asking for a password until you attempt to use it. So once we see the output of the lspci command we may be instructing you how to access and use a browser.

so, i made a new command in the terminal like jack told me and it says no such file Directory and additional bad file descriptor...Problem is i have only two usb ports Need one for booting from the stick and one for the mouse and Realtek Hardware. the Hardware is only shown connected while booting disconnect from porteus it is lost forever. the mouse can be disconnected and connected again and the usb too. i copied the terminal text but now Windows told me it is corrupt it would be easy with aworking cd drive i guess but it is trashed...a cable Connection would be easier too because i have to Login my WiFi ...i really tried for Hours now and learned a bit of Linux world...is it possible to boot porteus direct from the Computer without the stick? i dont know i tried with live usb creator make only Problems.i was happy to find porteus i dont like unbuntu and all the other shit macup or slax crashed in two minutes you see im very intressted in learning something About Linux but with no success ist no fun i am a very good jazz piano Player and i got a crush on Systems i am a human beeing and don t let me f***ed from Computers.i hate Windows for many reason but i have learned to modify that shit so it works for me.Same with Android, but Linux is new to me everything….so a few words About me. sorry for the lousy layout but i feel like exploding with that Realtek adventure thank you ed words you write i understand and they are kind

Jan, Jan, Jan. Talking like a truck driver isn't going to help. And neither is hacking. You need to start over. 1. Get windows working. Since you've been into computers for 25 yrs you know about backups and you have done them, so do a restore and get a working system again. 2. You don't need a CD drive to work with ISO downloads. What version of Windows are you using?

System shows 10 Wifi Connection, but can t configure network. Tried manually with SSID and Mac plus Hardware complete Information...no...for me old trucker missing 1.driver 2.modules.i copied the cd rom from Realtek to usb.There is a Linux folder.Porteus asked me to install the slackware, would this be helpful? i think no, what do you think?

Porteus Linux 4.0 has already installed the driver for "Realtek RTL8192 Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter", along with the right "Firmware" in my 64 bit OS. It should be likewise for the 32 bit OS also.

So, there is no need to install any drivers.

I don't understand when you say /lib/modules directory not existing. Once, you have 000-kernel.xzm module under base directory in Porteus, most drivers needed will be loaded.

1) Open 'File manager'
2)Go to 'file system'
3)look for directory 'lib'.
4)double click, find 'modules' directory.. and proceed to locate 'realtek folder in the tree structure.

Same way, come back to 'lib' directory and go to 'firmware' folder.

Do you find RTL8192?

Ed, in Root>lib>modules>4.16.3-porteus>kernel>drivers>net>wireless>realtek>rtlwifi i found Five RTL8192 Driver Folders

1.c 2.cu 3.de 4.ee 5.se means for example 5=RTL8192se. but my Hardware Shows RTL8192eu find the RTL8192eu Driver Folder (file got a .ko ending i Thing if i am not wrong) install it manually wouldnt that solve the Problem??? What is your opinion?
