I don't understand. I just booted with my porteussave.dat file loaded. My porteussave.dat file is 320 MB, with 102 MB used. But my /mnt/live/memory/changes folder shows 55.7 MB used. Shouldn't the used numbers be the same?

afaiui, your porteussave.dat file would show in /mnt/live/memory/images (like a module) and /mnt/live/memory/changes contains the changes to the present live system.. ? or my understanding is completely wrong

Good point
ncm. And I agree that that is how I thought it is suppose to work also. But to keep things in sync I could understand it being copied to the /mnt/live/memory folder initially.
To make things more confusing my changes file in the /mnt/live/memory/images/ folder shows as totalling 79.1 MB.
So, on disk 102 MB used.
Loaded image 79.1 MB.
Changes, upon booting, 55.7 MB.
