Gnome-mpv is a simple gtk3 gui for mpv https://gnome-mpv.github.io/
it is included in cinnamon, mate and kde already, this module should work with any of the other DE modules..

note: if you activate this module after booting(ie. live) you will need to logout/login to allow an included enviroment variable to load..
