Taking a guess this is the right place to put this? Please move it if necessary.
System is a 3.2.2 frugal install on an amd x86_64 mobo. Here's my dumb problem, which I'm not certain is really a problem? I have the latest upgraded Firefox 53-something, which has the same issue it has always had since install: there are no up/down buttons in the elevator field. So any click in the blank region of the elevator will result in a jump to the beginning or end of the file. You can still move it by dragging the elevator up/down, and keyboard arrow keys still work.
Hope there's some simple fix. I searched about:config to no avail.
TIA for any help.

firefox missing elevator??
Hi ... immediate response. I think maybe you recommended them to me back in the 3.22 era, they are NOT what I'm asking about.
Do you have the current x86_64 version installed? Does it show the missing buttons? Does anybody else have/not have the elevator buttons?
Sincere thanks for trying. I'm after the older version of how it was done.

I am running the newest beta of FFx, firefox-65.0b6-x86_64-1.xzm; And it also has no elevator buttons. Seems, for some reason Mozilla thought it a good idea to just remove them.Burninbush wrote: ↑09 Mar 2018, 23:20Do you have the current x86_64 version installed? Does it show the missing buttons? It not even occurred to me that they are no longer there cause I always use a mouse with scroll wheel, so I never use these buttons, just using the scroll wheel instead.
Still, there should be an easy solution for restoring a decade long GUI feature, but seems thats not the case.
Cheers!

Re: firefox missing elevator??
Now, switching from newest Firefox beta to the latest stable palemoon, realizing that PM also has dropped the "elevator buttons"…
PM version is: x86-64 28.2.2
