hi first thx to the dudes who answerd on my 1st topic i am now browsing the forum from my live porteus and it saves changes and every thing is cool

i have some qusions i am about to install social engineering toolkit which it a python script so
i found a tar.gz file on the ofical site and idk what to do with it i just know that i copies the .xzm files to modules discovery and activate it
but .tar.gz i realy donot know what to do
+ the script requirs python so is porteus already have python 2.7 installed or what
so 1st thx guy again and ireally hope u help me that time

if its just a script, you probly just need to extract it(somewhere) (rigthclick>extract in a filemanager might do it or tar -xf )
what desktop are you using? some have python, some don't.. (if not, use USM to get it )
also see /var/log/packages to see what is installed

the copy i dawnloaded is Porteus-XFCE-v3.2.2-x86_64.iso
+ yep i have found python 2.7 in the list so i dawnload the tar archive extract it and lunch setup.py and it will run without any modules installing or any other stuff plz if u can do quck search on the script and how to install it cuz i donot want the system to cruchs

looks like it needs a few extra python things: python2-beautifulsoup3 python2-pexpect python2-crypto maybe more (slackware names could be different)
and git..
but this bit could be a problem:

soo i want to ask u another qusion i want an os like kali linux but super light "kali donot run on my hardwere"
i mean a os so simple i just write a comand to get the sodtwere and i get it so what is ur suggestion ?
