Would love to have a working version of wicd-1.7.4-x86_64 for lxde (Porteus 3.2.2) preferbly a standalone package

Tested on xfce, should work with lxde also.

Based on this post - http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... icd#p14434, put /etc/rc.d/rc.wicd start in your /etc/rc.d/rc.local script.
The module disables networkmanager. However, if you activate the module after boot up, you have to manually stop networkmanager.
