Please confirm you wish to make a .txz Package, and not a .xzm Module.

However file-roller is already available, and is known as Archive Manager in Cinnamon, I believe. File Roller

With it we can open and extract a .xzm, .sxz, .img (ext2, ext3 and ext4 FS), .vhd/.vhdx, .vdi, .vmdk, .AppImage, .dmg and others.
>=p7zip-15.09 is required.

The same you can do with only p7zip 16.02 (included in Porteus 3.2.2 by default)

It was created from an original source, not able to open .xzm, .vhd, .vmdk, .AppImage and others.
