Re: Porteus-v3.2.2 bug reports here
1. My SD card is not cleanly unmounted when shutting down: "sync" command should be before "umount -at no,aufs, devtmpfs, proc, sysfs" in /etc/rc.d/rc.6.
2. nmapplet shows connection even if it is stopped i.e. my network provider requires capcha code after specified time. It is kernel related, for old v3.1 kernel, connection was then immediately closed but now it is not and time to display page with capcha (if this occurs at all) is longer than reconnect manually - maybe it is not a bug.

as bonus added Russian localization.

The Porteus Save File Manager "resize a savefile" option does NOT resize an existing savefile. It simply creates a new EMPTY one.

I have a bug in 3.2.2 kde with kolourpaint, when I execute it I get this error:
kolourpaint: error while loading shared libraries: libsane.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
and that's true, there's no libsane.so.1 but this is a base module, any idea?

is 03.02.2017 an updated version solving the issue? where can I download it? sorry! I've just realised the module names are links to download them! thanks!
in my version of printing module (07-printing-x86_64-02.12.2016.xzm) there's no libsane.so.1 but a bunch of scanner oriented versions, with the printing module xzm2dired to dir t I get:

Re: Porteus-v3.2.2 bug reports here
yes that the simply way to solve the bug, but the point here is kde is a base module of porteus distribution and kolourpaint is a kde software in the basic kde bundle which is included in 003-kde.xzm module, thus that module should include all necesary for every kde program to run fine which is not the case. The real bug is 003-kde is including a basic kde software which is not running due to a lack of library and not that module nor any other base module includes the required library.Bogomips wrote:port wrote:there's no libsane.so.1 but this is a base module, any idea?Code: Select all

If I follow your solution path I suppose I should convert sane-1.0.25-x86_64-2.txz to a module such as 003-kde-patch.xzm or something like that (maybe 07-printing-x86_84-patch.xzm)

Re: Porteus-v3.2.2 bug reports here
I don't think so, that's the point! I think dependencies for sofware included in base modules should be available in base modules (better if present in its own base module, i.e. if kolourpaint comes in 003-kde and requires libsane.so.1 then that library should be in 003-kde module or at least in some other base module such as 007-printing-* --supposing it is a base module--)Bogomips wrote:^ Need to get all dependencies for sane via USM
this code is supporting my argument or I'm really missing the point... ;-)Bogomips wrote: orCode: Select all

as you show, 003-cinnamon.xzm does include libsane.so.1 but the equivalent module for kde (003-kde.xzm) does not. That is pretty much incoherent for me. And that's precisely the bug: 003-kde.xzm should include libsane.so.1 (or sane-1.0.25-x86_64-2 package, if you prefer) the same way 003-cinnamon does.
