Please reproduce your error on a second machine before posting, and check the error by running without saved changes or extra modules (See FAQ No. 13, "How to report a bug"). For unstable Porteus versions (alpha, beta, rc) please use the relevant thread in our "Development" section.

And yes I know manually downloading firefox-50.0.2.tar.bz2 and moving it to the /tmp/ folder works.

Yes, I like this too. Install latest stable version, maybe:
update-firefox stable
Even better, auto activate xzm and clean up afterl. (ie. Delete txz file to reduce RAM.)
Same for update-flash also.
The way I use Porteus, PC has no drive in him. Just boot copy2ram, connect wireless,
and use web, with save nothing. Terrific!
