Wow! You did well in tracking down the problem. It s indeed caused by code in that file. This file is created on the server (daily when automated) but at the moment I am doing it manually. I will update it tonight to resolve the problem. With rc5 release the process will be automated. Thanks.

In usmgui, there is a duplicate entry for "Edit ponce mirror" in the Settings menu. The duplicate entry also points to the slackonly mirror.

I've emailed the maintainer of slackonly as his CHECKSUMS.md5 file is not correct. The MANIFEST file has a different md5sum to what is in the CHECKSUMS file. He says he will fix it this weekend. Thanks.

You can comment out line 280 of /usr/share/usm/funcupdateDatabase to get round the problem until he fixes it.

I manually udated each database using the GUI which was a bit of a pain since I had to close out and restart the GUI after each update. I should have done it in terminal mode.
