Updates and security

I have recently managed to get persistence working with Porteus and I am delighted at its speed of booting. I have used other distros and the first thing one does is to update the software, for example, the browser so that it is at its most secure. I have opted for Chrone as a browser in Porteus and I am told to upgrade to improve security. There does seem to be a straightforward way of doing this unlike the upgrades I can get with Linux Mint. I hoped to use Porteus to quickly boot and use it for Internet banking but now I am not so sure.

if using porteus 3.2rc2, and it is google-chrome there is possibility of update in 64 bit http://dl.porteus.org/x86_64/testing/rc2/modules/, by simply entering in terminal:
