^ Getting a slight dejavu here. Feeling this business with live CD just a stepping stone, which will be discarded with growing experience of Porteus.

Then you will be loading Porteus from the hdd. However can still hang on to the iso idea, not on CD but on hdd. Boot from anywhere; hdd or usb or cd, but load Porteus from iso file on hdd. Or as I normally run, from iso file on hdd into ram, the iso file being read just the once. 8)brokenman wrote:If you are going to use Porteus full time then why not install it on your hard drive?

make_iso.sh works like a charm for withing a few minutes:
Given boot and porteus on /mnt/sda5
Given boot and porteus on /mnt/sda5
Code: Select all
cd /mnt/sda5
./porteus/make_iso.sh
