VideoLAN 1.1.9 for Porteus V1.0

I wanted to see the video of a remote cam that asked for vlc as plugin, so I dug in the internet searching for the necessary software until success. I had to install over twenty dependencies to compile it. You can download it from this link:

VLC is very powerful, ram hungry and demands a good high speed connection to to the internet. It is working for me in a Toshiba laptop. Please report your experiences here.

EDIT: This version of VLC was compiled on rc1. V1.0-rc1 uses libva-o.31. Since then we have had rc2, rc3 and final -all three with libva-0.32-. VLC doesn't show pictures since. Meanwhile I compiled the new version of VLC-1.1.10 with the final version of Porteus 1.0. I will post a link to mediafire as soon as I finish testing.

my vlc package with the qt4.7 weight 155,5 mb+- only qt weight 55 mb but is needed by vlc,ha i have used the slackyd package manager and deps are managed by it

@feng Do you have qt4.7 installed? I think that is the error message you get. If you search in the forum for HPPrinter, you will find a download link where it is included. I will quarentaine all installed packages to find whose fault is it.

i think that i have qt 3.3.8b
as i found a directory /usr/lib/qt-3.3.8b

it comes with porteus 1.0 rc2.
