Porteus Nemesis v3.5 BUG REPORTS
Base: Manjaro
Kernel 4.3.3
Init system: openrc
I've uploaded both architectures to the server.
LXDE:
I included the pamac tray applet which notifies when updates are available. Feel free to upgrade and let me know how it goes. Power options such as lid close and hibernation haven't been tested in LXDE but I don't think they will work completely yet. Mouse is now being handled by libevdev and synaptics by the synaptics cliet. This means you can use synclient to manioulate the mouse. It is not as responsive as libinput but I am finding it more stable and the mouse doesn't jump around like it used to.
KDE
It is buggy. It is new. There aren't many native packages avaiable for it, but I put it there for people to play with. The wallpaper is reset on every boot and I can't stop that. I think it is caused by an X crash during start. It is Plasma5 in 300MB so it has been stripped to the bone. Have fun with it.
When I settle on a base I will start releasing incremental, detailed changelogs.

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.5 BUG REPORTS
Hi 2 quick comments.....shame on you for making a KDE smaller than LXDE.....go and stand in the naughty corner
LXDE seems to boot much faster on my tower....I did not time it or try bootchart or some kind of scientific process....its still faster so good job
First possible bug is attempting to update....Applet claims I am up-to-date which is not true according to your Mesa comment so
EDIT see next post for solution

I deleted all my previous work so now to look at alpm stuff this post resolves the last post
now as a local user I run pamac-tray and errors reduce to ---as a local user
Applet shows up as red and at time of writing shows 33 updates when I hover over applet.

Now we are back on track to test applet.
I left click it (I am right handed mouse user)
a dialog box shows up with various updates I click apply and enter my guest pw and download is starting.....Mesa shows up BTW
and after the downloads applet on hover shows system is up-to-date.
Fairly painless procedure. Suggest you consider repeating members are to run
before doing any thing else.....assuming they have network

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.5 BUG REPORTS
my apols as I did not look.
its not called synaptics...I ran the synclient command on my tower and it told me to load synaptics but if you look at
/lib/modules/4.3.3-porteus/kernel/drivers/input/mouse you can see there are 2 synaptics.
try cheatcode 1 then 2 if no good
1 load=synaptics_i2c
2 load=synaptics_usb

Re: Porteus Nemesis v3.5 BUG REPORTS
minor bug with PCManFM
I name my kernel as a v in case I need to type in grub legacy command mode.
Copy your current kernel to your home folder and re-name as v and then look at it in pcmanfm.
If I did not have a sense of humour this will be enough to bug me right off the planet.
