Earth politics: The planet is a concern to us all

To give life to tome's suggestion, I start a thread on the politics for this planet, so that we debate about earth before there is no more left of it or of its inhabitants. Let's try to do this peacefully and be tolerant of our neighbor's opinion. Is there a real republic in your country, democracy being the dark side of the republic, or oligarchy which is the dark side of oligarchy, or are you ruled by tyranny or monarchy or is it anarchy?

francois, if I may give you a bit of advice, replace your avatar if it is a likeness of you. Call me paranoid or not, there is no free speech without anonymity. And I'm not referring to big brother, but of immediate concern the other eyes and ears of fanatics of all creeds. Already been threatened once for saying something quite innocent on non-political forum, which got taken the wrong way by some fanatics, threatening hack my email address for IP etc.

Was are not afraid of capitalists, communists, tyranny ... here in Canada and are really happy to have escaped conservatism after 10 years of dismantlement of our social-democratic system.

However, will the new government be four years aristocrats of oligarchs? We will know only at the end of their mandate if they are transparent enough.

The issue of national and international politics have to be debated. I am a good citizen, nothing to hide.

Killings in Paris right now due to terrorist action, more than 40 deaths. The target was the youth and the ordinary people. So much sadness. This world is absurd.

We as a human species are slaves, worse off than the slaves that were liberated by the American Civil War (1860-1865). They at least did not have to pay taxes, while the rest of the world owes everything to IMF, and other central banks. Countries have to pay debt to the banksters. Are we free*? In today's newspaper, the terrorists are said to have come from Belgium. Same scenario as the Charlie hebdo killings.

Onw of the terrorist from which one finger was found after he exploded himself was Ismael Omar Mostefai a french man of 29 years old. Another was a recent sirian refugee.
