Once wrote a program to try and control food in the fridge. It's summer now. Worried fridge might be on the blink. Googling not being my forte, have not been able to turn up any leads on the net. After something simple, which could be adapted to control fridge, freezer, provisions in pantry. Supermarkets use barcodes, which doesn't help much, but maybe something like an inventory and monitor program for a restaurant or eatery could prove adaptable.
Very useful would be alarm/reminder for opened tins, packs, perishables having to be consumed within x days of opening. So, it should be easy, having opened a pack or jar or tin to enter this into an aging monitor.

Anything to take the strain from the brain 8)
