Should performance take a back seat to compatibility?
Or... is there a grey area where binary dropins and forks are acceptable?

Ok... I confess. I'm from Jersey... (the 6th bourough of NYC?).
Worse is better

I'm interested in feedback from a technical standpoint (as opposed to idealogical?).
Pls Note: All thoughts from the "community" are encouraged (so don't sit on the fence).

In any case... I'm not exactly sure why Porteus does not use the following...

Musl (instead of Glibc)...

We must stay compatible with upstream and Slackware uses glibc and gcc for almost all packages.
