How to put the XFCE in Portuguese?
I tried PSC -> system settings -> language setup to download Portuguese br, but mix english and portuguese menus. Thunar show only in english.
I remember already installed slackware XFCE and all menus shown in portuguese.

Did you tried the porteus setting center? There should be a submenu for language settings and keyboard.

The net result of the operation should yield a language porteus module. If this the case. And if it present in \porteus\modules folder?
Yes I am still in Greece in Galaxidi a coastal and quiet village with a nice harbour located near Delphi. This should be a good place for the pension days.

hi slaxmax if you want to do a permanent language change.change the lang.csh and lang.sh in profile.d from en-US to pt-br ,you can repack the core with this permanent change,so you can use also in fresh way ...i think but not shure.

Before I changed lang.sh and also used porteus settings center (PSC), but without success. The PSC change lang.sh to pt_br.
lang.sh (locales-pt_BR.utf8-x86_64-1prt.xzm file)

because I made a test with fresh 3.1 xfce (32bit) and pt-BR and Thunar is translated.
and yes, not all (other) menus and Apps are translated, not in pt-br nor in de-de.

I used the 32bit version
I have no 64bit Hw, but maybe you could try the 32bit version to
see if it makes any difference....I'm really running out of Ideas..

hi you have to change also lang.csh,if i have thunar in full italian language,you have to have thunar in your language too...well i have done a try and thunar have all the menu in pt-BR....

hi slaxmax sorry for no posting from porteus but no internet connection so i have done a ls from profile.d :
root@porteus:~# cd /etc/profile.d
root@porteus:/etc/profile.d# ls
coreutils-dircolors.csh* gtk+.csh* libglib2.csh* pkgconfig.csh*
coreutils-dircolors.sh* gtk+.sh* libglib2.sh* pkgconfig.sh*
glibc.csh* lang.csh* mc.csh* z-dot-in-non-root-path.csh
glibc.sh* lang.sh* mc.sh* z-dot-in-non-root-path.sh
root@porteus:/etc/profile.d#
and have you see the lang.csh,so if you want do a trick, unpack the core or where the /etc directory is and change the two files inside profile.d repack, and so you have always the pt-BR inside your system.
