when the computer starts are all the files in the magic folder copied to the ram or are they just link to it or something
Reason for asking-
I have recently for the past two or so weeks am having power shortage in my place where the power goes out every 1 to half hour for about 5-10 seconds. Have a good pendrive of 64gb and would like to link the desktop to a folder in the pendrive (RAM 2GB) Lets say i am downloading an game of 4 gb so will this cause problem to the ram or is it linked to the pendrive and it is downloading directly to the pendrive.
P.S.-Don't tell me to directly download to my pendrive i am alredy doing that but just for curosity and learning sake i want to know.

That's wonderful for you
Seva but it doesn't answer the OP's question. If you don't know the answer to a poster's question listen and see what someone who does respond. Ok?

Thanks so just to clearify this once and for all you mean that when i copy files to the magic linked folder the file go directly to the magic folder in the pendrive and it does not in anyway go to the ram save itself (EAT RAM) there then sync with my pendrive thus being saved in two places that is a RAM Temporary and Pendrive permanently and also when i boot into porteus the RAM is not filled with the magic folder file and is only linked to it.

If you are linux literate, it's a
mount --bind <magic folder> <folder on live system> .

So you mean yes as in mounting it does not get added
