Yes you are right Donald, I got very sick especially when the human rights of my sons and mine are continuously violated. But when having sons there is no time to stay in bed, and recovery has to be forced and the life, the pursue to freedom and truth has to continue. To get depressed is to die, and that is not an option for me, I can be upset but not depressed.
I prefer to know the truth, no matter how hard it is, than to live surrounded by a world of "nice and social" lies.

I avoid Religious issues, we already had enough wars. The Spiritual area is more or less clear to me, social philosophies and human behavior is a real mess, too many violations of human rights, with the ruler more armed and the more convincing liar, and science is plagued with falseness very well covered in favor of huge vested economic interests and in prejudice of people and technological advance. An example, more than 60 years ago we must have got rid of burning fossil fuels in favor of true clean energies. Never mind, this is out of the scope of this forum, sorry, I was just mentioning the health point to Donald. On my part, no more comments on the issue.

I do despise dogmas also. Science fundamentally is not dogma, theories are constantly revised as new facts refute them. There is no right or wrong in science, things are just what they are. Mindfulness could be about facts thru one's senses. This allows reconciliation for the agnostics with the concept of transcendence. As Spinoza wrote, God is around us in the nature. Just to say that philosophy could be of some help to find some answers.

Science fundamentally is not dogma, theories are constantly revised as new facts refute them. There is no right or wrong in science, things are just what they are.

However, when a professor of archaeology wishes to publish a paper about human settlements in Africa which are around a million years old, he cannot get it published. This is because, in his words, it is scientific dynamite, and flies in the face of accepted theory of homo sapiens being just 250,000 years old. This is because too many academics have built their careers, reputations on the currently accepted and don't wish to be pushed out of their cosy little niches.

First, when you bring some facts that completely revolutionize a domain of research, these facts have to be real solid. The methodology robust and well described. These facts have to be corroborated by other researchers as well. Sometimes, it takes time.

E=mc2 was not that evident.

In newspapers, it happens that some new discoveries are reported by journalists as going against the previous studies. This is being done without regard to the evidences yet collected. A study to change a domain of research as to be really strong. Usually, only specialists of the domain are able to ascertain the validity of new information.

I hope your archeologist will find some support from a credible researcher. And eventually from the whole scientific community.

Some of these fools that seem to be so happy are this way because they are in the present moment. However, the problem could be that they are not aware that they are so happy because they are living the person moment.

To be aware of to be not aware, that is the question. 8)
