Here you can post about the issues related to modifications performed manually (not through the kiosk wizard). Example: swapped kernel, added 3rd party modules or files.
Please describe in detail what has been changed and hopefully other kiosk user will be able to help.
Porteus team wont resolve bugs posted in this category as we support only modifications made by the kiosk wizard.

Hi to all.
i have a project and i need lamp installed porteus in order to run my website locally. Also i need a way in order my local site (files and database) sychronize with my live same site some specific ours or on demand. Is this possible? Do you have any suggestions?
Finally i wonder if there is any way in order to secure the porteus kiosk usb that will be in my kiosk because it's obvious that if someone take it he will be able to stole my applications source code. Thanks in advanced!

I just read that porteus-kiosk is read only so i think that there is no way of synchronization of a local site with a live one. Although i wonder i a local server can be installed in order to run my local site and if there is any way to run porteus desktop which is writable but with same configuration with porteus kiosk. Thanks in advanced

persistence is evil and will never be enabled in kiosk by default or even as an option in the wizard (brings security risk and never ending bug reports related to user changes made in the system).
however - if you really need it then i could make it available in a paid custom kiosk build:

perhaps i could also integrate LAMP stack with the kiosk ISO. please contact me on
