When opening kodi from the terminal I get:


/usr/bin/kodi: line 141: python: command not found

Do you have as proposed:
python (available in 007-printing)

So for 64bit:

Ok. I thought that I installed 07-printing.xzm After closer inspection I did not. Now I am getting a different error on a complete new installation:
/usr/lib64/kodi/kodi.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libp11-kit.so.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory.


I rectified the error with usm -s to find the missing library.

Works! Will test but everything seems great! WOW.

Glad for you.

Please do report after some use, cttan, the porteus community and I would like to hear about it.

Personally, I never used it on porteus.

My main beef is that this kodi build does not seem to include the webserver service used by the phone apps to remote control the app.
This does reduce the usefulness of the software as a media center.
Will continue to research a solution to this issue.

Pls use usm to update to Kodi 15.2.

I believe web server is default in Kodi. You will need to enable it and then enter a username and password.

You must be on latest version to have slackonly database.

In USM there is a menu called "updates" and in the updates there is one called "update USM" just click on it and it will update USM to current. I'm using Mate and it should be in KDE too. That is how I upgraded my USM.
