Hi guys, just started using kiosk for the first time and while most things went smoothly so far I'm having trouble getting firefox to connect to virtual hosts on the local network.
Whenever we go to "http://xyz/" then firefox will just search for xyz on duckduckgo instead.
Any idea how to solve this as I'd rather not have to set the homepage as an ip address instead?
Firefox doesn't like virtual hosts (e.g. http://xyz/)

hi mpennington,
got similar report before:
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=4451
so its probably wise to have this function disabled by default.
i have updated 3.3.0 ISO so please give it a shot:
http://porteus-kiosk.org/download.html
please let me know if it worked for you.
thanks

Hi fanthom,
I tried the updated ISO, but wasn't sure how to change the firefox settings like in the post you linked to.
http://xyz/ still isn't working but we've managed to find that the fully qualified domain name http://xyz.domain.local seems to be working fine now.
