The scenario is a network printer a Papercut server, and a kiosk. The kiosk to print always locked , and the manager frees , or not, the printer spool. How to connect the kiosk with the PaperCut? or How does install the kiosk a share SAMBA printer? Thanks

Hola:
Gracias

Do you have a link tout a free Linux version of paper cut? I will test it.

Hello, francois:
http://www.papercut.com/download/ng/ -> You can download a trial version. I installed a demo server in a windows xp machine. ( I know
)
http://1drv.ms/1vIR9k2 -> This link is a linux provider for a second papercut server, before, you have a principal papercut server runs and works. I don't use a secondary server, i want to use a kiosk with an only server.
http://www.papercut.com/products/ng/man ... l#id817751 -> instructions
Thanks
Antonio R.
PD: I install the printer with IIS share (http://server/printers/.....), the kiosk can connect with the printer, but i can't authenticate the print job, and the papercut server refuses the job.

fanthom is the kiosk expert here. And I am not sure that it will be possible to implement your printing system on kiosk will be possible without his intervention. There might a bounty assorted to that type of installation kiosk. He is the only one that could tell.
Also, what is the printer that you use with your system? I could look if it is supported by our actual printing module.

Re: FAA Printing with PaperCut MF-Impresión a través de Pape
i have never tried printing through the SAMBA share in kiosk so cant say anything in this matter.
maybe instead of installing a PaperCut software you could go with some Linux distro + cups? this should be supported by the kiosk out of the box.

Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
Re: FAA Printing with PaperCut MF-Impresión a través de Pape
I'll try to do it.
When the PaperCut Server runs over windows, with share printers, the authentication works "alone", so i want to connect it with SAMBA.
The administrator wants to stop the printer job. He sees the job list, and he decides what prints or not. CUPS can do it that?
Does somebody prints a doc, but CUPS stop the job until administrator decides about that? If CUPS can do it, i don't need a PaperCut Server.
Thanks

Your printer is covered by our printing.xzm module for the porteus standard edition. However, I do not see your printer in the kiosk printer list:

You should pursue with fanthom's advice here above and ask further questions if needed.
