I just created a new ISO of 64-bit Porteus 3.1, LXqt and booted it up as root. I was going to install it on a plugged in USB key, and normally I would do that by starting the Porteus Installer in LXqt. But I select it from the menu, and nothing happens. I've tried several times. I've tried on two different CPUs. Porteus Settings Centre also doesn't do anything. There are no error messages in dmesg.
I logged out as root and logged in as guest, and the installer started fine.
Before I get condemned for booting into root, I'm just pointing out that it is an option when creating the ISO, so it seems like it should work, or at least explain to the user why it doesn't work, so they can fix it.
I'm pretty sure when I used 3.0.1, it was as root, and the installer worked.

Re: Porteus Installer (3.1) not starting when booting to roo
please remove '/opt/porteus-scripts/xorg/psu' from /usr/share/applications/relevant.desktop file and try again.
ktsuss + dbus launch combination implemented in LXQt does not like root account.

Re: Porteus Installer (3.1) not starting when booting to roo
I am not finding /usr/share/applications/relevant.desktop anywhere.

Re: Porteus Installer (3.1) not starting when booting to roo
Ok, figured it out...desktop file for the things that aren't working (installer, settings centre, etc).

That worked...installer started up.
