Quick question.
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:~$ ls -il /mnt/live/memory/changes/var/log/messages /var/log/messages
48 -rw-r----- 1 root root 64493 Nov 3 19:46 /mnt/live/memory/changes/var/log/messages
119 -rw-r----- 1 root root 64493 Nov 3 19:46 /var/log/messages
Different inode numbers implying diuplicated files?
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:~$ df -h /mnt/live/memory/changes
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
- 265M 1.4M 263M 1% /mnt/live/memory/changes
guest@porteus:~$ df -h .
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
aufs 265M 1.4M 263M 1% /
Something to do with porteus or with aufs?
Linux porteus 4.4.0-porteus #3 SMP PREEMPT Sat Jan 23 07:01:55 UTC 2016 i686 AMD Sempron(tm) 140 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

aufs. The root file system is a mirror of the live file system.
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.
