Ok, So I just got Porteus set up on my USB, and had to reinstall everything cause I wasn't doing the persistent stuff... But I can't fix the issue that is audio doesn't come out of my speakers. I've looked at the other threads about this kind of stuff and am posting the ouput of the commands that they suggested be ran for more information./
cat /proc/asound/cards:
Code: Select all
0 [SB ]: HDA-Intel - HDA ATI SB
HDA ATI SB at 0xfe020000 irq 16
1 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfcffc000 irq 18
cat /proc/asound/modules
cat /proc/asound.conf
cat /etc/asound.conf
cat /etc/modprobe.d/alsa_order.conf
Those four returned
dmesg|grep -i audio
Code: Select all
[ 14.761875] hda-intel 0000:01:00.1: Handle VGA-switcheroo audio client
Im on 64 bit, the normal porteus using.... XFCE
Thank's in advance to anybody willing to help me out

Hello M1kep
Have you by chance looked through the Porteus Settings Centre > Sound Settings ?
Normally I run "alsaconf" but it doesn't seem to be installed on my LXDE version.
Also you can right click on the sound icon and the "Volume Control" settings to make changes, can't say if it works same in XFCE, but I'd think it would.

Hello M1kep
Thought of something else if you still have no sound from speakers , do you hear anything from a set of headphones ? (maybe still plugged in ? been there, done that) Not sure how to check to see if your output is going to headphones or line out, have had that problem before elsewhere.
