Greetings!
Subject says it all. I wish to boot my Porteus flash on an old R31 ThinkPad which has a dead HD and whose BIOS supposedly can't be coaxed to boot a USB drive. I heard there are tricks to jumpstart a flash boot via a CD but I'm really clueless about this or how to proceed. Any assist welcome.
(Maybe on another topic, can I do the same with an old PPC Mac?)
Thanks!

"supposedly"? Who said it won't work?jimwg wrote:BIOS supposedly can't be coaxed to boot a USB drive.
What happens when you make the hard drive the last option in the BIOS and boot with the USN drive plugged in?

@jimwg
--> ThinkPad <--
plug in your usb-flash
insert a porteus live-CD, boot the CD , at the splash-screen select the
Plop boot manager to boot the usb-flash.
