Firefox not in maximum resolution

I installed Portues Kiosk Edition 3.1 on a Asus netbook. The netbook is connected to a external monitor. The resolution of Firefox on the larger external monitor is the same as on the smaller screen of the netbook. Firefox is not displayed full screen on the external monitor.

Which settings do i need to modify/add to display Firefox full screen on the external monitor?

when in troubles - please boot any linux on this PC and post the output of 'xrandr' command when external monitor is connected.
