I can guess the answer to this, but wanted to verify because I couldn't find it anywhere in the FAQ. Does Kiosk edition disable USB ports and CD/DVD rom drives as well?

they are not disabled on the kernel level (otherwise kiosk would not boot) but there is no automounting daemon active in userland.
only root can mount usb/DVD and it must be done manually (through ssh for example). also - kiosks kernel supports only iso9660 so in case of usb there would have to be some ISO burnt on it.
