@Tome , I have tried this
[quotelinux (loop)/boot/syslinux/vmlinuz from=/home/nail/Porteus-RazorQT-v3.0-i486.iso login=root][/quote]
and
X -configure
write server is also active
then
# ls
# cp xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf [can`t do ]
# startx [can`t do]
@Tome Can we put sis driver from version 2.1 to version 3.0 , X.org server from 2.1 to version 3.0 ? And how (please give tips and tricks) ?

@worktowork,
What files are listed when you command ls?
xorg.conf.new or xorg.conf-new is on the list?

@obesan
When you boot Porteus in Text Mode, do you type "root" at Login and
type "toor" in Password?
Yes , I do. I get "root@porteus"
X -configure
write server active and error I can`t copy all information from screen.
about Xorg.conf.new I will write later.
ls gives only names of folders.
Please correct my english.

@worktowork
write server active and error I can`t copy all information from screen.
I'm sorry but I don't understand this. In my case, as I sent the command "X -configure",
"root@porteus" reappeared. Then I typed "ls" to see the list of files in order to confirm
new xorg.conf name.

I can`t load porteus version 3.0 with graphic mode.I have tried: 1)unpack iso to root and boot 2) last message about applying to porteus.cfg 3) your solution 4)try from Tome "... login=root"
I also tried write to feedback viewtopic.php?f=53&t=3184&start=120
So I must stop xperiments with my old PC.Again thank you.
