no sound from laptop with Porteus Mate

Hi,
I'm running a live USB stick with Porteus, everything fine except the sound, I dont hear anything from Youtube.
I should let you know that I lost my sound while running XP before switching over to Porteus. I was still able to hear beeps though on XP just no Youtube sound and no sound on XP start up.

Where do I get Porteus audio drivers for an X31 2673 QU6 lenovo Thinkpad?

Also, how come the volume control on the Thinkpad doesn't get recognized by Porteus Mate, with
XP I could see the green volume level on the screen, with Porteus Mate I don't see any of that on the
screen.

yeah mine is rather quiet at first i thought it wasnt weking but its just not very loud..

Do movies and mp3's play ok?

It would be useful to open 'Porteus settings centre' then click on the information icon and get a system information report. Upload this to pastebin and post the link here.

Followed your instructions and Porteus did tell me it was uploaded to pastebin, but the link was never clearly shown to me at all. Browsed around looking for the link under tmp folder only to discover that pastebin-link.txt was empty. I'm looking for the pastebin link to supply to you but no able to locate a link to give you. Any idea where I would find it?

Why didn't Porteus just show me the link after it said "its been uploaded"?

I haven't tried mp3 or movies as I don't use them, believe it or not.

You can always copy the information and paste it at pastebin.com then click submit, it will display the link
