Review first:
Porteus IMO is amazing, i'm a student in highschool. I use porteus on the school computers from my usb, and it is amazingly fast. I love how it is made mostly specifically for the usb, most distros are just live discs, this will save all your changes if you set it up correctly.
Questions:
Will there ever be a software center?
Convert slax modules to porteus modules
How often is slax updated?
will i ever be able to run normal ubuntu software on porteus?
In porteus kde is there themes and the theme manager like in slax where you can just press get more themes?
Suggestions:
a software center, if not with ubuntu software, with an archive of modules.

Re: Porteus 3.0 Review, Questions, Suggestions
Hi iTzZack, welcome to Porteus.
There is a Porteus package manager called USM. It uses several slackware repos and automatically converts the packages into modules. Will there ever be a software center?
There is really no need to convert slax modules to porteus modules as most of the packages are available through USMConvert slax modules to porteus modules
Depending on the software, most debian/ubuntu packages will work with porteus, there is a convert to xzm option when you right click a .deb file. Your much better off using slackware 14.1 packages when possible to avoid problems/conflicts.will i ever be able to run normal ubuntu software on porteus?
Sure is, from the menu find system settings, from there you can change the appearance and other settingsIn porteus kde is there themes and the theme manager like in slax where you can just press get more themes?

slax uses same process to build modules than porteus, only change extension from .sb (slax) to .xzm (porteus).
