Yes, but after running your script, which I suspect uses them, you told me to manually nuke the flash drive. If the x and z options were working I would think manually nuking the drive would not be needed.

Anyways, I think a Porteus flash drive that boots on all machines is an enviable project.

Ed_P If you have something worthwhile to offer then please do some testing and come back with some information. If not then stay out of the thread until:

1) You have found something useful
2) Somebody else tests it, confirms the problem and the problem is fixed
3) I release another version for testing

So far your snide comments and arguing are getting this nowhere.

Wow!! I can assure you they were not meant to be and I'm sorry you thought them to be such. :(

I apologize. I came across very abrupt and rude. I understand you are trying to help.

Please keep posts directly related to the problem at hand. Questions like 'Are you sure?' should be 'I don't think A is correct because ....'. As I have multiple projects to work on in my very limited free time, I need results and not discussions on the definition of words (as much my fault as anyone's). Please know that I understand basic linux operations such as how to mount a device, wipe an MBR/GPT, format a drive and setup a partition scheme. Second guessing these things (without suggestions or empirical testing) won't help. I have only one UEFI box so my testing is limited. I will start a thread in the development section where we can continue a productive trouble shooting session. This thread was hijacked from bour59.
