Firefox crash
After turning on the firewall to normal for the first time, under KDE, I noticed that for the first time after countless uses, firefox wouldn't start up. It didn't happen right away turning the firewall on, maybe after two to three restarts. It would hang, then close, no window would pop up. I use many add ons, but I've not noticed any giving me a problem except xmarks, but I hadn't installed it that time.

Re: Firefox
Please start firefox in safe mode to confirm that the addons are not causing a problem. I think you can simply hold down shift while clicking the icon but read the link to be sure.
It is most certainly not the firewall causing this crash. It is most likely an addon.
