I have a Java / JavaFX system and runs on videos. Flv, but Porteus is returning me that does not support the media. I really would like to use for my application Porteus, he already has a lot that need.
If someone can help me I am grateful.

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
Google is your friend with keywords Java JavaFX and slackware, I get an interesting answer:

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
The Search function of this forum is friendly also. Especially if you're not looking for the ability to write Java code.
Try this link MarTinazzI:

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
@EdP:
1) JavaFX is different from java, have a look at the link I provided.
2) google is often more efficient to find information on porteus than the search function of porteus. Just try it with some keywords.

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
JavaFX is used to develop apps.
I doubt it is needed to view movies. But I could be wrong. Have to wait for the OP to respond.
As for Google, I agree. If you add the site:forum.porteus.org to your searches it can be better than the forum's Search function.

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
I may be wrong, but reading the following:

I thought that their proposition was the solution for our friend.Unfortunately, when we install JDK on Linux, JavaFX SDK is not included and in fact, Oracle hasn't fully supported JavaFX on Linux and Macintosh. The only platform provided on the Download page is for Windows only. So how do we run JavaFX on Linux?

Re: Java/JavaFX problem
Sorry for the question.
Yes I know that java is different from JavaFX, but I need to use the application uses the two languages. I came here to question why you did not find the solution to my problem and thought it was just in Porteus, because in Ubuntu (I know, ubuntu is bad ..) the application was running, but I found what the problem is. is the lack of any multimedia library, or codec not found out for sure what is the right ... But with "Restricted Extras" Ubuntu application runs perfectly.
And thanks for the all tips.
