Hi, I'm currently testing porteus (Porteus-RAZOR-v2.1-i486) on my eeepc 701 as a live usb. It seems really good apart from the sound not working. I did check the audio settings, and my levels are all unmuted.
Any ideas how to fix this?

For now try on in command line alsamixer:
Tell us if it works as a quick fix. Then if you really like porteus, i am sure someone will help you fix it more permanently.
Code: Select all
root@porteus:~# alsamixer
Prendre son temps, profiter de celui qui passe.

All the relevant levels are set in alsamixer and i tried switching the default sound card. Still no audio though.

It would be nice to get a system info dump to look further into it. Please open the Porteus System Info app (under system tools) and generate an info dump. Then upload this to pastebin and link to it here. The uploading to pastebin is automated. Thanks.
How do i become super user?
