sounds like a hardware problem as it happens randomly.
please wait till you get it next time and then generate full raport through the 'xpsinfo' utility -> upload to pastebin.com -> link here.
please also post the output of following command:

Code: Select all

cat /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness
cat /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/actual_brightness
thanks
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.

try with this parameter in bootloader:

No, content of this parameter is vendor independent. Type it as is. More:

Make a memory-test!
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).

Test Razor, maybe it is LXDE's culprit!
Or better, if it happens also with Razor, then it has to do with your kernel version....did you hack it somehow?

You do not have to change your DE, it is just to test your machine, your hardware...just burn an iso and test, that's all! :)
