Found some /usr/share/man in x86-64 002-xorg.xzm version of Port 2.1
(Info for new users to either slackware or Porteus: Slackware keeps its man pages
not in /usr/share/man like some other Linux distros, but in /usr/man instead.)
Code: Select all
guest@porteus:/mnt/live/memory/images$ ls -lo 002-xorg.xzm/usr/share/man/*
002-xorg.xzm/usr/share/man/man3:
total 9
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 1906 May 31 13:36 drmAvailable.3
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 2942 May 31 13:36 drmHandleEvent.3
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 4062 May 31 13:36 drmModeGetResources.3
002-xorg.xzm/usr/share/man/man7:
total 33
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 22 May 31 13:36 drm-gem.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 11479 May 31 13:36 drm-kms.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 15062 May 31 13:36 drm-memory.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 22 May 31 13:36 drm-mm.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 22 May 31 13:36 drm-ttm.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root 4894 May 31 13:36 drm.7
Cheers!

must be missing switch for configure in my libdrm slackbuild. will tweak all my cleanup scripts to move man pages from /usr/share/man to /usr/man before creating core modules (not an elegant way but faster than going through all the slackbuilds i maintain).
thanks

Tweaking all cleanup scripts is elegant; better than having to do all by hand, yes?
Cheers!

i think i'll do both - fix the slackbuild and the cleanup (just in case).

It sure won't hurt.
And we want Porteus as good as possible anyway, so: thumbs up!
Cheers!

In other words, every time I have made a module from Slackbuilds, I have missed to move manpages to the right folder.....

Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
