Installed Porteus v2.1 on a usb flash drive from an .iso created using the wizard on the Porteus site that creates a build that allows adding different applications. Instead of using Mozilla Firefox (the default browser), I chose Google Chrome (version installed was 28.0.1500.95). The installation was successful but I'm experiencing various problems with the browser of which the most bothersome are:
- YouTube videos play broken (audio is OK). The problem doesn't show in Vimeo, Bing, or MSN videos.
Can't setup Chrome as default browser even though I get a message to do it.
The print command on the browser does not detect the connected printer. In order to print have to use system dialog.
If any of you guys have seen this and has a solution, will appreciate if you share. Thanks.
Update:
The broken video issue was tentatively solved by unchecking the hardware acceleration in Settings. The other problems, still withstanding.

@wread:
The residual problem is not starting and working with chrome, it is to be able to get youtube working. 8)

Posting a 3rd party bug into a section reserved for module maintainers where it should only be placed ready-to-use modules in the format XZM is not allowed. Your post is not in the right section of the forum.

This section is for those who have built a module that works.

You have posted a link to a FTP server protected with a password. Please either move this file to a place when it's available for all or give the credentials to everyone.

Je me excuse, Hamza, I moved the link to mediafire. Honestly I thought everyone could get it from my ftp if I passed the link. Should I start a subdomain say porteus.ingenieriaread.net and make it accessible over a link to porteus.org or so??? Maybe you can give advise to it by PM.
Regards!

Make a swapfile in your harddisk to increase it by 2 more GB by 32-bits (by 6 or 8 more GB if your laptop is 64-bit)

Please test the module posted by wread and let us know if it is any different. How did you build the module wread?
How do i become super user?

It is the official one modified to start as root, too, and with your hack (thank you!) to send that log file to /tmp... 8)
