I advice anyone to try the FFx alternative, the fork Palemoon. It's robust, almost all plugins are running, they even have forks for Plugins that else would not work with Palemoon. I never regretted moving from FFx to PM, not even once. And I am quite the pick and choose person when it comes to software, especially when that software is larger and could affect the speed and performance of the whole system.
Which all my browsers do, I tend to have in average 3 windows open, with 30 to 120 Tabs open in each...
But after a week the system gets slower, that still happens with PM, but it takes way longer for that to happen compared to my times with FFx. And just saving the wanted Windows with "Bookmark all tabs" and shutting down PM, and restarting it makes it run smoothly again.

Too many tabs? Convert tabs to a list and reduce browser memory

It's all the scripts that have been picked up from all the sites visited. Prior to cutting down on URLs would have had scores of scripts running giving browser unnecessary work.Rava wrote:But after a week the system gets slower, that still happens with PM, but it takes way longer for that to happen compared to my times with FFx.

Hi
me thinks scripts are a part of offline data so you could try changing your preferences to delete it on exit?

I have Suspend Tab installed and running, at least it says it suspends all background tabs after a while, which should also suspend the JS...Bogomips wrote:It's all the scripts that have been picked up from all the sites visited. Should check that one out. Remember having some sort of trouble trying to stop javascript launched from a tab.Rava wrote:should also suspend the JS..
