since I had small memory of RAM I was using 'kwrite' in kde4 because I need to open each text file in septate window.. but I installed 'medit' it's gtk text editor , .I felt it light and I can open many text files with multi-tabs ,
- *Features
Configurable syntax highlighting.
Configurable keyboard accelerators.
Multiplatform - works both on unix and windows.
Plugins: can be written in C or Python.
Configurable tools available from the main and context menus. They can be written in Python or Lua, or it can be a shell script.
Regular expression search/replace, grep and find frontends, builtin file selector, etc.
browse files to open your files.
open terminal in same window.
See screenshots.
I thought maybe good idea to next porteus release .
delete => libkate + kwrite , ... , and install => medit

thanks for suggestion, but i'll rather stay with kwrite.
please add 'medit' to your repo (when possible) so users will be able to have a look on it.
BTW - we dont have 'libkate' in 64bit build.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
