Hi,
since many months I am looking to use a way to remotely manage some of my house electic products.
I found so many external boards (Arduino, OpenPicus, Olimex and others). They are all boards on which sensors or actuators could be connected. But to work they all use a language based on the Arduino one.
As I think to have well understood we must put the needed anguage code on the board by connecting the board to our computer (via USB cable) and use a tool (software) sometimes called Arduino IDE.
As I finally found the cheaper and all included board (see links here below) allowing me to connect it to my router I first need the Arduino IDE (64 bit but 32 is also available) program to insert the anguage on the board before connect it to my router.
Then could somebody :
1) create the Porteus module for 64 bits (and why not directly for other friends in 32 bits) - here is the link for linux 32 and 64 bits - 1.0.4 version : http://arduino.cc/en/main/software
2) does somebody already have an Arduino (or similar) to test transfer code to it (because I still did not had order this (below) board
3) add the finished Arduino IDE program to the PPM
By hoping help other people also looking to this kind of tool please accept my sincere recognition to what you do for al of us.

Re: Arduino IDE Software
Did you try Kremotecontrol from kde?
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
The Porteus Community never sleeps!

Re: Arduino IDE Software
Dear wread,
the boards is empty when you buy it. It means you must first install the internal code (with Arduino IDE) on it before be able to contact the board (with IP on a browser).
Then it is really necessary to have this Arduino IDE software. And the interesting thing is it coud be use with all other Arduino-like board because they all use the Arduino same language.
Sincerely thanks and have a nice day,
Miguipda ;-)
