Hello, is it possible to hide messages between Porteus boot options screen and xwindow start-up?
I want to put a wallpaper or anything else like MS Windows during boot.
Hide boot messages
Re: Hide boot messages
May be a cheatcode for this?
Re: Hide boot messages
It's name is bootsplash and it'll need to recompile the kernel I think. Fanthom should know better.

Re: Hide boot messages
unfortunately there is not such cheatcode and i have no plans for implement it as it would require a lot of work.
you could try a bootsplash solution mentioned by hamza but it requires patching of the kernel. also - bootsplash makes sense only when you use proprietary drivers (nVidia, amd).
here is a patch and instruction (in polish but should be clear after using google translate) if you want to give it a go:
http://przemek.org/bootsplash.html
good luck!

Re: Hide boot messages
@cttan
3.7.0 patch works ok for 3.7.8.
anyway - just checked and bootsplash is not an option for us since we switched from initrd to initramfs in 2.0.
i have no solution to this problem - sorry.
