@fanthom and brokenman,
1) RE: LXDE, right click, Desktop Preferences, "Advanced" menu checkbox trap, can't regain Desktop Setting menu (32bit Porteus)
I have noticed in several other LXDE distro's, this has been solved by putting "Desktop Settings" under the System heading of the newly created right click menu. This certainly seemed like a very logical approach to creating a toggle for the Desktop Settings - Advanced menu selection/checkbox.
I have no idea how involved making this a default setting in Porteus may be, however I noticed this working in "Lubuntu 12.10":

Also working as a default setting in "UberStudent 2.0 Lightweight":

2) How much trouble would it be, and would it still satisfy Porteus size requirements, if you were to include the "Openbox Configuration Manager" in the Porteus LXDE.xzm module? 32bit?
I hope you fella's got some well deserved rest after the very successful 2.0 release. Picked up at least 50 members, I believe.
All smiles here for sure,
Sean
edit - #1 "Desktop Settings" was incorrect, corrected to "Desktop Preferences"
numbered question 1 and 2 as they are separate ideas

Re: LXDE - for next release perhaps
hi sean,
not sure if this is what you are looking for but lxappearance has openbox plugin included by default.
click LXDE menu button -> Customize Look And Feel -> chose Window Border tab
if this is not what you expected then please make a screenshot of Lubuntu/Uber Student settings (my ISP gives me down/up limits and i'm always nearing the edge).
thanks
