Opening google chrome under root I get:
Code: Select all
Google Chrome can not be run as root. To run as root, you must specify an alternate --user-data-dir for storage of profile information
Is there an easy way around?

Prendre son temps, profiter de celui qui passe.

I always boot root. There should be no su in the command.

Would it be:
Prendre son temps, profiter de celui qui passe.

To fix it go to the directory chrome is at and open the script google-chrome.sh and in the last line add --user-data-dir to the end of the last line.
It works for me

Where is google-chrome.sh located?
(/opt/google/chrome/) I searched this folder but I can only see google-chrome without the .sh extension.
Thanks

You can go to:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ui4ydoh3j34xkoy/awngRHBa80 -> /Porteus/other files -> download google-chrome-root.desktop and move to /usr/share/applications or /root/.local/share/applications and relogin.
You have mind and feelings. Be wise and clever.
