Hi everybody!
This is another CAD program; this time for mechanical engineers, although it can also be useful for architects.
But it is a 30-days trial. If you can make use of it you shall buy the license, if not send it to /dev/null.

The application has a nice short tutorial.
Enjoy!

Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).

I'm suggesting you to post only open source/free software here to avoid laws problems with Porteus project. I don't think it's allowed to redistribute it according to editor's website.

I believe there is no problem redistributing trial software. In the same way that the following websites do:
www.baixaki.com.br
download.cnet.com
www.softpedia.com
www.pcworld.com
Packing the file into a module makes little difference. The end result is a trial version and if the end user likes it he will purchase a license. This can only be beneficial for the author who has a vested interest in receiving orders.
How do i become super user?

This one will be of the favorites, I think; if so the VariCAD people will be glad we porteus people, had help selling licenses for this software. If the buyers run it in porteus, VariCAD could contribute to us; that could even be an income source.....
Best regards
